Highlights from 2011

Daily activities prove very popular

Media

This year the children worked on creating a music video using "green screen" effects, cue cards and live action on location around the site. Click on the video below to see the results of their handiwork. You can visit our YouTube channel to get the inside track on what really goes on at One Hundred % through the video podcast made by the children in 2010 and the 2009 production from a different perspective.

Craft

Craft workWhat could you make from a pile of broken tiles and a tea-light? That was the challenge given to every one in the craft activity - and we were amazed by the range of creativity on display. Be impressed by some of the examples here!

Even more creative output emerged from the extra craft sessions before lunch each day!

Drama

There was no shortage of dramatic skills amongst the children on One Hundred % this year. In the drama activity they were given the opportunity to refine and enhance those skills in a creative masterclass. Look out for West End reviews in the future that credit the first thespian stirrings of the stars to what they learned at One Hundred %! Some children also chose to prepare for the drama in the final Full Focus.

Three peaks

Quad-bikingWe go off-site for the most popular activity of all: quad biking, which this year was coupled with target paint-balling.

Rated as "awesome" by participants this ever-popular activity gives all the One Hundred % holidaymakers a chance to really show what they are made of and is bound to make a return in 2012 - indeed we have secured the booking already!

Day out at the beach

On the beachWe had a wonderfully bright (if somewhat blustery!) day at the beach. After a tasty packed lunch sitting on the shingle, the tide went out exposing a vast expanse of sand. Following some very energetic digging castles and moats of all shapes and sizes arose on the beach - and even some less conventional sand sculpture. And despite the fresh wind blowing there was a long queue for ice creams!
